Smoking is bad. IT destroys your skin, teeth, lungs and even voice. Notice heavy smokers have raspy, very raspy voices. Yuck. And their teeth are always green too.

@AzureHvn oh sorry my mistake, see ” benc117 @MPL029 you call smokers morons yet you don’t understand the concept of inhalation and exhalation. ”

@kidunknown76

Keep convincing yourself. We ALL know that smoking causes cancer and a host of bronchial problems.

We don’t even need science to see the consequences of smoking or the second hand smoke.

The way to get pleasure in life is to learn to love and take care of ones body as precious, then we learn to love others and not be selfish about instant highs. Which actually turn into viscious cycles trying to repeat intital highs.

@MPL029 you call smokers morons yet you don’t understand the concept of inhalation and exhalation.

@DA8653 I would like to see you show evidence of this, and if you referring to red wine? then I think you’ll find it’s the flavonoids in the grapes that are beneficial, not the alcohol content. Smoking does benefit the user in tha fact that it’s pleasurable. Not everything has to have a function, we are creatures of pleasure after all. Oh yeah, and rat poison is in fact NOT harmful in small enough amounts just like any other poison, including arsenic.

12 DA8653 April 26, 2010 at 5:00 am

@kidunknown76 Actually, you CAN drink alcohol in moderation. It’s been proven that a certain amount of alcohol a day is actually quite healthy. You can drink water in moderation because your body NEEDS it to survive. Anything that is healthy needs to be taken in moderation to avoid being unhealthy. But smoking doesn’t benefit the body in any way whatsoever. That’s akin to saying eating rat posion is okay if you just eat a little bit. Either way it doesn’t belong in the body.

@kidunknown76 Good point, as much of a militant ex-smoker I am I have to admit your chances of getting sick and dying from smoking is directly proportional to amount smoked and length of time smoking. Heavy smoker? your gonna die from it.

14 kidunknown76 April 26, 2010 at 6:14 am

@TheWhatever41 Of course you can prove these things right?

15 kidunknown76 April 26, 2010 at 6:53 am

@MPL029 Whoever said it was healthy? It’s a pleasure to some, with which you have to balance up with the potential dangers.

16 kidunknown76 April 26, 2010 at 7:21 am

@DA8653 Smoking less than 5 per day poses no greater risk for ANY cancer as compared with a lifelong non-smoker, as backed by the Norwegian Institute of Health, a 30 year study that includes ‘light smoking’ data.

Also, using your theory, you cannot drink alcohol in moderation either then? considering that it is a neurotoxin

A fundamental law of science is: THE DOSE MAKES THE POISON! e.g Drink a glass of water and it will hydrate you body, drink too any, and you’ll find yourself dead.

17 MPL029 April 26, 2010 at 8:09 am

sheesh..all these people who defend smoking…morons. youre blowing smoke into your bodies…how can you possibly think thats healthy. Get back to us when you have emphysema or lung cancer of have to breathe thru an oxygen tank. then let us know how defensive you are about your smoking habits.

18 Jocelyn200830 April 26, 2010 at 8:13 am

My great-grandmother lived to be 81 yrs old, and smoked all her life!

19 DA8653 April 26, 2010 at 8:32 am

But there’s no such thing as smoking in moderation because it’s bad for your health in any amount. @kidunknown76

20 willun98 April 26, 2010 at 8:54 am

So this is what the late/great Bill Hicks was talking about. Truely bizarre to find on here. Five stars.

21 Hopeisxdevotion April 26, 2010 at 9:00 am

@TheWhatever41
I’ve been smoking for a few years, and I can see the way it’s physically affected me, but I’m absolutely and totally cool with that. You can keep saying all this crap to make me ‘regret’ my decisions, but in the end it’s my life and I’ll choose what to do and what not to do. I’m sure you do things that are bad for you, but someones incoherent rambling on Youtube certainly wouldn’t change your mind, right?

22 TheWhatever41 April 26, 2010 at 9:24 am

You never smoke a cig, they smoke you!

23 TheWhatever41 April 26, 2010 at 10:03 am

@Hopeisxdevotion

And you won’t. But remember this, It isn’t the quanity of life but the quality of life. Your life as a smoker will suck, big time. sex ain’t as good, food ain’t as good air ain’t as good sleep ain’t as good ecetera ecetera.

24 remuswolfrocket April 26, 2010 at 11:00 am

My mother died from all the years she smoked.
